| Feb 11th 2012,the Central China Normal University (Huazhong) Art Troupe gave a wonderful performance to Edmontonians at Eva O'Howard Theatre as a celebration of the year of dragon and of the CIE being named the Confucius Institute of the Year. |

Invited by the Great Edmonton Seniors Association, CIE sent a group of teachers to give cultural lessons to the seniors.All the attendants had a great time in paper-cutting, Dough art and Chinese knots classes. |

| Students from Edmonton Public Schools attended the Summer Camp culture courses in CIE. They learned Chinese dance, Calligraphy, Taiji, Papercutting and a lot about traditional art of China. They had a wonderful experience here. |
